Round 2
The second round of the European Women’s Chess Championship 2026 took place on May 26 in Batumi.
Prior to the games, participants had the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Georgian Khinkali Party, offering them a taste of the host country’s renowned cuisine.
One of the winners of the day was FM Gergana Peycheva, who secured a victory over Mariam Kalandadze with the white pieces. Speaking during the live broadcast, Peycheva praised the excellent organization of the championship and shared her positive impressions of Batumi, which she is visiting for the first time.
